colour
So, p.s. I've posted these last three posts within the hour. I haven't really had a chance to post recently...but Ive been collecting!!! (ideas, i mean for what else but the blog). So yeah the reason is because my best friend from home was visiting this weekend (it was my birthday last week). So, the point is, I didn't have time. She did however give me lots of ideas. She showed me a video of a bunch of bouncy balls bouncing down one of the streets of San Fransisco, but what she didn't tell me was that it was one of the three videos from Sony's Advertising Campaign for its new flat screen. I don't know if the Colour campaign did well, but what i do know is all of the advertisements are really cool. They're different, and fun, and you can't say that about many advertisements, because although funny commercials are memorable, the more funny commercials there are the less memorable each becomes. A unique idea, is key to breaking through all of the advertising clutter.
Oh, and don't get me wrong the whole colored bouncy balls bouncing down a street of san fransisco looks AWESOME...but every time i watch it i think...how cool would that sound? maybe thats just me. probably...
oh and if you get a chance to watch the behind the scenes of each of these videos, you'll appreciate each of them a little more. For the bouncy ball one, 25000 bouncy balls were used. I don't know much about the second one off the top of my head, but I think there were more animators working on this set than any set...EVER. And for the third one with the paint, they used real paint for every scene.
